A skilled musician, Luke Anthony has always studied jazz and classical music in parallel. He studied composition at Royal Holloway College, University of London with John Woolrich and Peter Wiegold and in Milan with Anne-Marie Turcotte. He completed an MPhil at Brunel University under the supervision of Colin Riley. His work has been performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Royal Opera House, the South Bank Centre, Green Man, Latitude and Edinburgh festivals. His music has been performed by many leading musicians including Tony Woods, South Bank Sinfonia and Sound Collective Orchestra. He has recently completed a piece for Piano Circus. He has worked extensively with dance and theatre groups including choreographer Jo Fong and Theatre director Jonathan Lovett. Recent commissions include a piece, Breathe, for the Iskra string quartet and songs for a festival in September 2015 to commemorate the 250 year anniversary of the plague.
